The 2020 Denver Christkindl Market
Thank you for supporting the Denver Christkindl Market! In 2020, the German American Chamber of Commerce – Colorado is excited to be celebrating the Market’s 20th anniversary and we cannot wait to see you there!
From humble beginnings and multiple locations including Denver Pavilions, Cherry Creek, and most recently Skyline Park, we are very excited to announce that we are moving the Market to Civic Center Park where we can continue to grow and provide a safe holiday experience for our guests. Over the past few years, you may have noticed that our space in Skyline Park was getting tighter and tighter. As the Market expanded, so did our attendees and on many busy nights, folks were elbow-to-elbow whether inside our festival hall tent or walking about the grounds and visiting our vendors from Colorado, Germany, and many other European countries. We’re very grateful to the City of Denver, Denver Parks & Recreation, and the Civic Center Conservancy for helping us make this dream a reality.
This year is going to be a bit different for a number of reasons, but the magic and authentic German charm of the Market will remain the same. COVID-19 has had a large impact on our day-to-day lives, as well as the way business is conducted across the country and around the globe. The Market is no exception. We are very fortunate in that the Denver Christkindl Market can be transitioned into a completely open-air experience, and the new venue at Civic Center Park further allows us to adhere to social distancing guidelines from the State of Colorado.
Of course, the Market will continue to feature local and small businesses. You will see a lot of familiar faces, whether it’s stopping by Mario and Astrid’s Old German Christmas hut where you can find classic handcrafted Räuchermanner and candlelit Pyramiden, or stopping by to say hello to Chef Neuhold and grabbing a delicious jaegerschnitzel. This year we will also be highlighting our vendors online for those who are unable to attend the Market in person; be sure to visit our Denver Christkindl Virtual Marketplace to support these small businesses this season.
We are excited to welcome local Denver brewery (and member of the GACC-CO) Prost Brewing as the official beer of the Market. We’ll also be featuring the classic St. Christopher gluhwein in a brand new 2020 mug celebrating our 20th anniversary. You’ll definitely want to check out one of our new vendors, Istanbul Café & Bakery, where you’ll find some amazing Turkish pastries and, for the first time ever at the Denver Christkindl Market, the ever famous Doner! We’re also excited to be working with our new presenting sponsor Miraflora Naturals, Colorado’s premium CBD brand, whose farm uses pure water flowing from Rocky Mountain National Park to cultivate their 160-acre organic farm in Boulder County.
